The fact is that many users have older models of smartphones, so they do not have the opportunity to update the application. In such cases, a hard update is a necessary step to take if, for example, after publishing an application, a serious problem in its functionality is discovered.

There is also another approach – FeatureToggle. In this mode, switches (on / off) work for all functions of the application. Thus, the user can add a minimum version for any of the functions. This allows you to reduce the likelihood of using a hard update and disable only the feature that has problems.

2. Push notifications
